Varsity Cheer Coach

Shane Bigelow

Shane has been cheering for the past 8 years, and coaching for 6 of those. He started at OC Allstars 6 years ago, and has continued his love of cheer there while expanding to Aliso Niguel High School in 2016. In his time at OC Allstars, he has attended the Cheerleading Worlds competition 5 times. He has coached all levels of tumbling and stunting, becoming USASF certified, ensuring he has the best knowledge to relay to each athlete he coaches. With his time at ANHS, he has brought back multiple first place victories, including a National Championship at USA Nationals in 2017. He hopes to continue to keep the growth of this program and continue the successes, but more importantly bring an environment to these girls that makes them all feel important and special. His number one goal for this program is to ensure the girls leave with more life knowledge in their minds, love in their hearts, and motivation to be the best they can be!

McKenna Moody

McKenna is new to high school coaching, but knows first-hand what it’s like to be on Aliso Niguel’s Song team. As a four-year Varsity Song member and Captain during her Junior and Senior years, she is excited to be working with such talented dancers. As a competitive dancer for seven years, McKenna won multiple titles, including the USA National Championship in 2016 with Aliso Niguel Varsity Song and a USASF Dance Worlds Championship gold medal in 2016 with PACE Elite. McKenna graduated from The University of Utah in 2021 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Sociology and Criminology, and is now pursuing a Master’s Degree of Education in School Counseling at Concordia University Irvine. McKenna is excited to help the team gain the confidence they deserve and she hopes to have a positive impact on the Aliso Song program.
